A One Way Voyage........

I live life not the way I want it. I live life the way I decided. Decisions never always reflect what you want. Whether it's a mistake or not, it is the way God wanted it to be. Not known for now, but there is a reason, for I have died once, yet lived again. Be it fraught with upsets, at the end of the road, for as long as I can say "I have not harmed a soul", then it withstood the waves and the journey was perfect.-Falcon116

WEAR A BLOGGER

At last!!!

A parcel, long awaited...well, a week or so...

I finally got my blogger shirts straight from the google store in Great Britain. I've been reading a a blog and it has a photo of the blogger wearing a blogger shirt. So I instantly googled 'BLOGGER SHIRT' and came upon this google shop's site:
http://www.google-store.com/product_info.php?products_id=105

Well, what's a woman to do with her 'PLASTIC' friend??? It wasn't that expensive anyway. 5.99GBP each, which is about AU$18.00... Not bad huh?

Now I can proudly wear a shirt that points to a site where I have freely expressed my self for nearly two years...Thank you Sergey Brin and Larry Page...and oh, my sis too who talked me into starting up a blog...

I actually ordered two shirts because I wasn't quite sure with their sizing system in UK. I thought if I get the small one and it's too small for me, then I can give it to a friend, who's also a blogger, for Christmas. But I thought I need to have a back-up at least. If the small shirt does not fit me, then I should still have something for my self, so I also ordered a large one. If it's too large for me, my son can have it because he's also got a blog here at bloggers: http://ikkisworld.blogspot.com/. He's never touched it though since he's opened it. I do encourage him to blog and express him self, but instead, he's opened a bebo account where he can get connected with his friends...It's his choice.

Anyway, it looks as though the small shirt fits me, so, yes my son can have the large one.

Nothing fancy with these shirts. Just plain and simple, yet, very expressive shirts!!!
As it says in the google shop, when people see the logo, "They may not be sure just who you are, but they'll know you've got something to say. Bearing the bold "B" logo of Blogger.com across the chest"
........LOTS TO SAY, IN FACT.
Come join the bloggers world!!!

FAMILY DISGRACE

A young Italian girl was going on a date.

Her Nonna said: "Sita here ana letame tella you about this-a younga boy. He's agonna try ana kiss you, you are agonna likea dat, but don't let him do dat. He's agonna try ana kiss your breasts, you are agonna likea dat too, but don'ta let him do dat eeda. But mosta important, he's agonna try ana lay on topa you...you are agonna really likea dat, but don'ta let him do dat for sure. Doing thata willa disgraza our family".

With that bit of advice, the granddaughter went on her date.

The next day she told grandma that her date went just like she had predicted: "And Nonna, I didn't let him disgrace our family as you said. When he tried to lay on top of me, I just rolled him over, got on top of him, and disgraced HIS family!"

Nonna fainted!!

FIRST MANGO

I've just had my first mango of the season before I had my dinner. It's
that time of the year again when you simply pick out mangoes from your neighbor's tree or along side the pedestrian pathways around Darwin when you're having a stroll or while riding your bike.

Yes it's the Golden season, yet again. Having a tropical climate do have its perks. We get to eat as much mangoes as we want. Unlike down south, where a mango (one single mango) can fetch up to $12.00 to $20.00. I've always been perplexed as to why we can only have one mango season in a year in Darwin. The reason why I said that is because back in Philippines, we seem to have mangoes all year round.... I wonder why...

Mangoes seem to rot everywhere. Last year, our friend went mango picking and ended up bringing a tarago full of mangoes, then the following week, another friend brought over boxes and boxes of them. It can be sickening sometimes because your stomach seem to continually digest mangoes. From Mango ice cream, to mango mousse to mango cheeze cake, even pork with mango.

We have a friend who owns a farm and they have a number of mango trees, so we usually give them a visit when it's this time of of the year. Maybe next week??? As you can see, I still have a lot of mangoes here....

How genetics have advanced in the last decade is just equally mind boggling. They have somehow crossed mangoes with apple, or guava, or paw paw. I wonder if they can cross mango with pineapple, or maybe banana, or durian??? Oh well, they've just recently done a limb transplant and grown legs from stem cells, so what's to wonder about?

But I still feel and think the best mangoes are found in Philippines, the 'CARABAO MANGO '. Small but juicy and sweet...

Hey I'm not complaining....

FEELING LIKE CRAP

Yesterday, I went to work to drop off some keys, then I had to come right back home because it was by far the crappiest day of my life this week. I've had this asthma-tight-chest feeling since Sunday. I went to the Doc yesterday afternoon and he said I've got this upper respiratory tract infection, a bug that's been going around a lot lately with the change of weather. If you're asthmatic, it usually ends up as asthma.

I hate it when I feel I'm deprived of air!!! Have you ever had that feeling? We seem to take air/oxygen for granted, but when you have an asthma attack, it feels like you do not need anything else but air...

Oh, well... Here goes to show that there used to be only my laptop right next to me in bed, but now, there are two other more important things on top of my laptop.
They are so important, in fact, they are my three best friends for the rest of the week.....

CRAP!!!
